Summary |
This is a conditional NAFTA country import entry/tariff record. The D50 record is currently only for NAFTA claims to Canada or Mexico where the “lesser‑of” rule applies. If the D50 record is used, it should follow the D30, D40, and D41 records. Multiples of the D50 records should follow the previous D50 record combinations, with all records for the same NAFTA Country Import Entry grouped together and followed by the records for the next NAFTA Country Import Entry. Up to 99,999 D50 records are allowed, one for each NAFTA Country import entry/tariff number combination. If the drawback entry type is “41” or “44”, and the NAFTA indicator in position 47 of the D10 record is “1”, there must be at least one D50 record. |

| Import Entry # | Valid NAFTA country import entry number. For "CA" input entry must be 14-numeric character. For "MX" input entry number, may be 14 alphanumeric character. |
| Entry Date | Entry date into NAFTA country in YYMMDD format. |
| Tariff # | Valid NAFTA country tariff number for the item on the import. Will be at the 10-digit level for CA. For MX, if pedmento (Mexico input entry) indicates less than 10-digit tariff number, add trailing zeros (0) to bill to 10-positions. |
| Duty Rate | The NAFTA country rate of duty expressed as a numeric with four whole numbers and up to eight decimal places for the NAFTA country tariff number. Two decimal places are implied. |
| Import Duty | The NAFTA country duty in NAFTA country dollars paid on the above NAFTA country tariff item. Two decimal places are implied. |
| U.S. $ Amount | U.S. dollar equivalent of the NAFTA country duty amount. Two decimal places are implied. The NAFTA country currency should be converted to U.S. dollars using the rate of exchange for the NAFTA country as published by CBP for the entry date into that NAFTA country as supplied in position 23‑28. |
